The Minister of Religious Endowment during the Friday sermon at the Grand Mosque of Moscow: Syria and Russia are defending their legitimate rights

Moscow (ST): Minister of Religious Endowment Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayed affirmed that Syria and Russia are defending their legitimate rights today, stressing that Islam is a religion of love and goodness, and it has never been a religion of intimidation, sabotage, or fanaticism.

During the Friday sermon at the Grand Mosque of Moscow, Dr. al-Sayed said in front of thousands of worshipers and in the presence of the head of the Religious Administration for Muslims of Russia and a group of religious scholars from all Arab and Islamic countries, “We came to you from Syria, the cradle of Christianity and the starting point of Islam, the land of blessing, mercy and guidance, from the vicinity of the Umayyad Mosque, which embraces the tomb of the Prophet Yahya, peace be upon him, from the land that includes the holy sites of Muslims and Christians.”

He added, “We came to you from Syria, which was subjected to an unfair terrorist war and a sinful Western conspiracy like the one that Russia is being exposed to today, and we are here from Moscow to express our thanks and gratitude to Russia and its President Vladimir Putin for their standing with Syria and its people.”
