The Minister of Internal Trade discusses with representatives of the food industries the challenges facing the sector

Damascus (ST): The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Salem, discussed with representatives of the food industries the problems, difficulties and challenges facing this sector because of its importance for Syria being an agricultural country par excellence.
Minister Salem stressed the supply control of all food industries, taking into account the Syrian standard specifications and studying the violation thoroughly before directing the seizure to the competent judiciary so that injustice does not fall on the industrialist.
Minister Salem pointed out that there are distinguished industrialists who are in constant need of support, while those who imitate real industrialists and work on fraud and deception distort the entire industrial sector and must be held accountable by all legal means.
