The Minister of Interior discusses with a Lebanese minister the return of Syrian refugees

On March 7th, the Minister of Interior, Major General Muhammad Khaled Rahmounmet with Minister of Social Affairs and Tourism in the Lebanese caretaker government Dr. Ramzi Al-Moucharafieh and his accompanying delegation. 

Minister Rahmoun and Al-Moucharafieh discussed ways to enhance cooperation for the safe and easy return of all Syrian refugees to their homeland. 

Minister Rahmoun confirmed the Ministry’s readiness to provide all facilities to secure the return of refugees to their homeland, starting from welcoming them at the border centers, providing transportation for them, and obtaining personal documents for those missing from the border centers.

In turn, Minister Al-Moucharafieh said that work is underway at the present time to overcome all obstacles to the return of Syrian refugees and to strengthen joint cooperation in this regard

He indicated that efforts are continuing to persuade the Western states to help refugees return to their homeland, Syria.
