The Minister of Information: The influx of citizens to polling stations confirms the failure of attempts at intimidation and starvation against them

On May 26th, Information Minister Imad Sarah confirmed that the Syrian citizens are attached to their  homeland the flow of citizens to electoral centers to cast their votes in the presidential elections in the governorates, which we have previously seen in many Syrian embassies in the world, confirms the love of the Syrian citizen for their homeland.

In a statement to reporters at the Media Center at the Ministry of Information, Minister Sarah said that the intensity of Syrians casting their votes in the ballot boxes bears many national and political meanings.

 

Minister Sarah said: “The citizens said their word with the failure of attempts to influence their will such as attempts to intimidate, mislead and starve through terrorism or through economic coercive sanctions.”

In response to a question about the services provided by the media center, the Minister Sarah  clarified that the number of press correspondents who requested to keep up with the elections and came to Syria reached 125 people from many countries, including the United States, Russia, Iran, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Denmark and Austria, in addition to the correspondents in Syria and previously accredited.

Minister Sarah said that the number of the media agencies in Syria reached 65, represented by 165 media figures, with a total of about 290 media figures covering and accompanying the presidential elections in Syria.

Minister Sarah said that the Ministry had provided in the Media Center with all logistical services to facilitate the work of Arab and foreign journalists.
