The Minister of Industry discusses with the head of the Donetsk delegation ways of cooperation and mechanisms for its development

Damascus (ST): Minister of Industry Ziyad Sabbagh discussed with the head of the delegation of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Minister of Foreign Affairs Natalia Nikonovna, and her accompanying delegation, ways of cooperation between the two countries and mechanisms for its development in various fields of the industrial sector.
During the meeting, they discussed how tobest use available capabilities, intensify efforts to improve the industrial reality, upgrade industries, and overcome all the difficulties caused by the terrorist war on Syria, and the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on its people.
Sabbagh stressed that promoting the food sector is a priority for government action, as its products are a basic need for all members of society, as the ministry works with its full capacity to support public and private companies to increase the productivity of this sector with high quality and specifications.
Sabbagh pointed out that there are investment opportunities in Syria available to all those who wish to invest from friendly countries, which contributes to achieving economic benefit, and enhancing the process of trade exchange among them for industrial products, expressing the ministry’s readiness for more coordination with Donetsk, and to achieve maximum levels of cooperation between the two countries.
For her part, Nikonovna expressed her country’s readiness to achieve advanced steps in the field of relations with Syria in the industrial field, to achieve the common benefit of their peoples, despite all the sanctions imposed on them, calling for intensifying meetings between the two sides to serve the industry and contribute to its development in Donetsk and Syria alike.
