The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad has reaffirmed the depth of the strategic relations between Syria and Russia

Al-Miqdad stressed the importance of moving forward in strengthening strategic relations between Syria and Russia for the benefit of the two friendly peoples and countries.

At the outset of his meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow on December 17, Al-Miqdad said that his visit to Moscow aims at discussing deepening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, in implementation of the directives of President Bashar Al-Assad and President Vladimir Putin.

Al-Miqdad expressed thanks to Russia for standing by Syria in its war on terrorism, indicating that the strategic goal of the two countries.
