The Minister of Finance discusses with the Iranian Ambassador ways to enhance financial and economic cooperation

The Minister of Finance, Dr. Kinan Yaghi, discussed with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus, Hossein Akbari, ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the financial, economic, and insurance fields.

During the meeting that took place in the Ministry’s building, Yaghi stressed the necessity of developing bilateral relations in many sectors, explaining that the Ministry is making great efforts to simplify investment procedures, improve the work environment, and develop financial and economic legislation, as the necessary steps have been taken to establish a joint insurance and reinsurance company between the two countries.

For his part, Ambassador Akbari stressed the importance of intensifying cooperation and joint work, praising the economic efforts made by the two friendly countries to strengthen relations and their positive impact on growth and the recovery process in Syria.

The two sides agreed on the need to increase economic cooperation and activate joint agreements between the two countries with the aim of promoting sustainable growth and development.
