The Minister of Education discusses with a Russian delegation ways of cooperation in the educational field

On January 12th, Minister of Education, Dr. Daren Tabbaa met with the head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation, Admiral Alek Vladimirovich Goravlov, and his accompanying delegation.

The two sides discussed prospects for future cooperation and ways to enhance them between the two countries, especially in the educational field.

Minister Tabbaa said that there are approximately 30,000 students studying the Russian language and the opening of virtual rooms to teach them is happening in cooperation with the Russian side.

 

Minister Tabbaa stressed the importance of strengthening Syrian-Russian relations in various fields.

Admiral Goravlov indicated that literary references were provided to schools and universities through the Russian Education Authority, as well as the center’s support for the educational process in Syria through the distribution of stationery and school supplies.

The Russian delegation included members of the Russian Education Authority, the Russian Education Society, deputies and the representative of the Russian Education Authority in Syria, Dr. Salman Raya.
