The Lebanese Minister of Transport announces the opening of a new crossing between Lebanon and Syria

On March 17th, the Lebanese Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ali Hamiyah, announced the opening of a new border crossing with Syria.

Hamiyah said in a press statement that the Mittriba crossing with Syria was opened in the Hermel district.

Hamiyah said that the number of official crossings between Syria and Lebanon reached six.

Hamiyah pointed out that the residents of Hermel were suffering a lot on a daily basis while going to Syria through the Al-Qaa and Al-Masna crossings.
