The Kremlin: Zelensky’s statement on the “neutral status” discussion is a positive step

Moscow (ST): The Kremlin announced that the statement of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about his readiness to discuss the “neutral status” of his country is a positive step that will be studied.

 

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said today that he had seen Zelensky’s statement about his readiness to discuss the (neutral status) of Ukraine, and that Russia “considers this step as a move in a positive direction and it should be analyzed,” according to the RIA Novosti news agency.

The media reported, quoting an adviser to the head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, Mikhail Podolak, “Kiev is ready to conduct negotiations with the Russian Federation on a (neutral status), but it must obtain security guarantees.”
