Lattakia (ST): With the aim of spreading the idea of volunteering and enhancing its role in society, the delegation of the Emirates Red Crescent, in cooperation with the Lattakia Governorate and the Syrian Red Crescent, held the “Knights of Humanity” Forum as part of the activities of the “Gallant Knight 2” mission in Syria.
The Governor of Lattakia, Eng. Amer Hilal, pointed out during a speech that relief workers have the most prominent role in alleviating the humanitarian catastrophe resulting from the earthquake, primarily on those affected, appreciating the work of the medical authorities, rescue teams and all parties that participated in rescuing the wounded, recovering the victims and providing aid.
In his turn, the Vice President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Organization and Chairman of the Board of Directors – Aleppo Branch, Muhammad Saleh Chmagh, referred to the role of the Red Crescent staff in the rapid response to alleviate the suffering of the afflicted, meet their needs and facilitate the arrival of aid to them, hoping that international humanitarian support to Syria to face the repercussions of the devastating earthquake will continue.
For his part, the head of the delegation of the Emirates Red Crescent Mohammed Al Kaabi pointed out that the volunteers are role models who carry the qualities of excellence, creativity, innovation and dedication to providing various aspects of assistance.
