The Kazakhi Foreign Ministry: There is no specific date yet for the next round of Astana talks on Syria
Nur Sultan,(ST)-The Kazakh Foreign Ministry announced today that it has not yet received information from the guarantor countries about the date of the next round of Astana talks on the crisis in Syria, which is scheduled to be held in the capital, Nur Sultan.
“The situation depends on the guarantor countries of the Astana process, and so far we have not received any information from them,” the official representative of the Ministry, Ibek Sammadyarov, told reporters in the Kazakh capital.
Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Mukhtar Teleubordi announced a few days ago that it is possible to postpone holding the new round of Astana talks on Syria in the capital, Nur Sultan.
The fourteenth round of Astana talks were held in Nur Sultan on the tenth and eleventh of last December, and the guarantor countries renewed their strong commitment to the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Syria and continued cooperation until the elimination of terrorist organizations in it and the rejection of separatist agendas aimed at undermining the sovereignty and integrity Syrian territory.
