The Israeli occupation authorities announced on Monday the seizure of 546 dunums of Palestinian land northeast of the city of Salfit in the West Bank.
The Head of the Yasuf village council, Wael Abu Madi, explained in a press statement to the Palestinian News Agency “Wafa” that the occupation forces issued an order to seize 546 dunums of Palestinian agricultural land in the villages of Yasuf, Marda, Kafel Hares, and Jama’in, with the aim of expanding the roads of one of the settlements.
He noted that the plan extends from the Za’tara checkpoint to the roundabout of the town of Kafel Hares.
About two months ago, the Israeli occupation announced a settlement plan to establish 5,300 new settlement units to expand the settlements established in the West Bank.
