The Israeli occupation forces raze Palestinian lands west of Bethlehem

On August 3rd, the Israeli occupation forces razed areas of lands in Battir town, west of Bethlehem, in the West Bank.

Wafa news agency reported that the occupation forces stormed into the Dabaa area, east of the town, with a number of bulldozers, razed 4 dunums and uprooted dozens of olive trees.

This area is exposed to a wide settlement expansion campaign, represented in the occupation acts of razing lands, uprooting trees, building mobile houses for settlers and preventing Palestinians from accessing their lands.

Meanwhile, two Palestinians were injured and 26 others were detained during the Israeli occupation forces’ raid on separate areas in the West Bank.

Wafa news agency reported that the occupation forces stormed into the towns of Beit Ummar and Beit Ula, north of Al-Khalil (Hebron) city, amidst shooting and poison gas bombs, wounding two Palestinians and detaining 16 others.

The occupation forces raided the towns of Burqin in Jenin, Jayous in Qalqilya and Qablan in Nablus, and detained ten Palestinians.

Israeli occupation naval forces open fire at Palestinian fisherman in Gaza

A Palestinian fisherman was injured on Thursday after he was shot by Israeli naval forces as he was sailing in the Gaza Sea, WAFA News Agency reported.

The agency said that a Palestinian fisherman suffered from injuries after the Israeli occupation naval forces opened fire on fishermen off the area of Al-Waha, northwest of the Gaza City.

The Israeli naval forces continue to target Gaza fishermen almost on a daily basis and prevent them from fishing.

A large number of Gazans rely on fishing for daily living in the light of the tight decade-old blockade imposed by Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip.
