The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Detainees Affairs Authority confirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities continue to detain the bodies of 26 Palestinian prisoners who were martyrs of the captive movement.
The authority has explained in a statement today, carried by the Palestinian Wafa Agency, that the occupation authorities are still detaining in a number cemeteries and refrigerators 26 bodies of prisoners who died inside the detention centers, the most recent of whom is the martyr prisoner Walid Daqqa, who died yesterday as a result of the deliberate medical neglect he has been subjected to over the years of his detention.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club confirmed earlier today that the Israeli occupation, since the beginning of its aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, has escalated crimes of medical negligence against prisoners, noting that these crimes constituted a major factor in the martyrdom of prisoners, in addition to torture, abuse and starvation.
