The Iraqi Prime Minister survives an assassination attempt

On November 7th, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi survived at dawn today an assassination attempt with a booby-trapped drone.

The Iraqi News Agency, INA, quoted the Security Media Cell as saying in a statement that a failed assassination attempt against the Prime Minister, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, was subjected to a booby-trapped drone that tried to target his residence in the Green Zone in Baghdad.

 “The president was not harmed and he is in good health,” the agency said.

“The security forces are taking the necessary measures in dealing with this failed attempt,” the agency added.
