The  Iranian Cultural Film Week starts at the Cinema Club of Tishreen University

Lattakia (ST): The Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lattakia, in cooperation with Tishreen University, organized the Iranian Film Week, which lasts for three days, at the University’s Cinema Club.

In a speech delivered by the President of Tishreen University, Dr. Bassam Hassan, he noted the historical relations between the two countries, which had the greatest impact on the exchange of scientific and cultural experiences, stressing the importance of Iranian cinema for being constructive and aiming to spread culture and science and enrich minds with knowledge.

In his turn, the cultural attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Reza Fadavi, thanked in his speech the efforts made by university officials to make these cultural events a success, adding: “The Iranian Film Week comes in order to introduce some Iranian films produced by filmmakers in Iran, who were distinguished by their cinematic production that is committed to noble morals and lofty values.

The opening ceremony included a cinematic promo about the history of Iranian cinema, its origins, and its development to the present day. A promo was also shown about the participating films.
