The International Day of Theater celebrated in Syria in various governorates

Provinces (ST): The Syrian stages, which remained a sanctuary for art and civilization in the face of advocates of darkness and terrorism, celebrated the International Day of Theater, to spread this occasion to the various Syrian geography.

This celebration, which is organized by the Directorate of Theaters and Music in the Ministry of Culture, took place on the stage of Al-Hamra Theater the panoramic view of the masterpieces of international plays through a work titled “Another Place” prepared by Youssef Sharkawy and directed by Suhair Barhoum.

The work included a number of the most famous scenes of plays throughout history, starting from the Greek era to our present era, all of which were through two lovers’ duets.

About the celebration, director Suhair, director of the National Theater, said in a statement: “We started preparing for this show two years ago, but the Corona pandemic prevented us from presenting so far. All the playwrights have to return to the stage because they carry the message of love to all people.

Actor  Ali Al-Qassem, who played the role of the narrator, wished that the playwrights and their experiences would be renewed despite all the difficulties that the theater suffers from. The Syrian theater continues its message of life. Participation in any theatrical performance that achieves a special pulse bears love and loyalty to the theater, which brings together loyal people who do not abandon it, no matter how great the temptations are.
