The International Arab Popular Campaign will prepare a comprehensive study on the Impacts of Western Blockade On Syria
The Preparatory Committee of the International Arab Popular Campaign to Lift the Siege on Syria announced on Friday that it will prepare a comprehensive study on the impacts of the western blockade on Syria as a document that condemns the American administration for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity.
During a meeting by videoconference, the committee called on the Union of Arab lawyers and all human rights organizations to study the possibility of prosecuting the US administration before the international courts for genocide and war crimes against humanity.
The committee decided to send a letter to many parliamentary, popular, unionist and partisan commissions, explaining the serious impacts of the blockade imposed on Syria in all economic, social, health, educational and cultural aspects. It also decided to communicate with friendly media outlets to invite them to participate in this campaign.
Participants in the meeting agreed on participating in the session to be held on February 21st by the Human Rights Council in Geneva to discuss the situation in Syria through a joint intervention between the Campaign and the International Council Supporting Fair Trial and Human Rights.
The committee also welcomed holding the Arab Youth Forum for Solidarity with Syria in Damascus during the next month. The event will be organized by the National Union of Syrian Students and the Revolutionary Youth Union in Syria.
