The Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine Demands Halt to Forced Displacement in Al-Quds

The higher Presidential Committee for the follow-up of church affairs in Palestine condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on Palestinians in the occupied city of Jerusalem with the aim of displacing them and Judaizing the holy city, calling on the international community to stop all forms of forced displacement carried out by the occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip and all Palestinian Territories.

The committee stressed in a statement issued by its chairman Ramzi Khoury, according to WAFA agency, that the ongoing Israeli aggressions against the residents of the Armenian Quarter in the occupied city of Jerusalem and the colonial attempts to displace its residents and seize the neighborhood will not affect the steadfastness, will and determination of the Armenians of Palestine in their defense of their neighborhood and their historical legacy in Jerusalem.

The committee explained that what the neighborhood is being subjected to is part of a systematic plan led by the Israeli authorities to empty the Arab neighborhoods in Jerusalem in preparation for its Judaization, indicating that the settlers are the occupation’s tool to implement its plans, as it provides them with protection in all their attacks on Palestinian cities and villages.
