The heroes of Brigade 17: From Independence Day, we derive the will of resistance to liberate every inch of the homeland
Deir Ezzour (ST): On the seventeenth of April of each year, the memory of the great National Day that the heroes of independence created seventy-six years ago is renewed, as their sacrifices culminated in the expulsion of the French colonizer from the soil of the homeland.
The Independence, whose paths of struggle were illuminated by the pure blood of the martyrs, laid firm foundations upon which the Syrians built today and achieved victory after victory against terrorism and its supporters in this aggressive war waged against their country, inspired by the glories of our valiant ancestors.
On the occasion of the Independence anniversary, news reporters met a number of the heroes of the 17th Brigade in Deir Ezzour, where the fighter Muhammad said: “On the anniversary of the National Day, we pay tribute to the heroes who shed their pure blood on the soil of our dear homeland and embodied the most wonderful epics of heroism and presented the most valuable possessions in order to liberate the country from the French colonialism. They did not fear the oppression of the colonizer and its military capabilities, and they were armed with determination and strong will to liberate the homeland from occupation.
He added: “We renew our pledge to be loyal soldiers in order to defend Syria’s sovereignty, security and independence in the face of terrorism and its supporters, deriving from our ancestors’ great values of steadfastness and resistance to liberate the last inch of our lands.”
