“The Harbi Papers” a new novel by Ali Al-Mizal

Damascus, (ST) – “The Harbi Papers” is a novel by the writer Ali Al-Mizal. The novel reveals the repercussions on the life of the educated and intellectuals who lived in the Syrian Arab Golan before and after the occupation, and how their thoughts, customs, traditions and values were.

In his novel, Al-Mizal attributes to  the hero, Abdullah Al-Harbi, much of what he the author lived through. The writer assumes the personality of Abdullah Al-Harbi and he displays much of what our people suffered in the Golan.

Al-Mizal also presents the beauty of  the village Kafr Hareb in Golan and its view on Palestine and the beautiful mountain to describe the relationship of the Golan Heights with Palestine, the beauty of their nature and their positive impact on society and the environment.

He also describes in his novel the environment and the beauty of nature, and talks about customs and traditions, the danger of the Zionist occupation, its impact, and the importance of expelling it.

In the novel, the greatness of the Levant and Syria, the love of the people of the Golan for it, the beauty of living there, and their consideration as a symbol of struggle, resistance, occupation, and support for the Palestinian cause, are evident.

Al-Mizal highlights in his narrative that the qualities of love, loyalty, and Arabism originate from Damascus, which always advances to support the Arabs and liberate the occupied lands.

The style in Al-Mizal’s novel combines the foundations of building the novel with artistic illustration, the strength of the event and the balance of themes to make the novel at the height of excitement and suspense.
