The Grand Mufti of Belarus confirms rejection of the hostile policies of Western countries towards Syria

Minsk (ST): Abu Bakr Shabanovic, the Mufti of Belarus and head of the Religious Assembly of Muslims of the Republic of Belarus, condemned the terrorist acts of ISIS and other terrorist organizations in Syria, stressing his rejection of the policies practiced by some Western countries known for their hostile stances against Syria.

During his meeting  with Syria’s ambassador in Minsk, Muhammad Al-Omrani, Shabanovic noted the enlightened thought known to the Syrian people, which is the result of the deep civilization and long history of Syria.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to develop cooperation between the two countries in the cultural, social and humanitarian fields for the benefit of the Syrian community residing in Belarus and strengthening the solid friendship between the two friendly countries.

Shabanovic stressed the importance of deepening communication between Belarus and Syria in light of the circumstances that countries and the Islamic nations are going through.

For his part, Al-Omrani stressed the strength of relations between Syria and Belarus and the desire to work on strengthening them in all fields, referring to the values of tolerance and moderation in Syrian society and their importance in confronting the extremist approach.
