The Governor of Damascus meets with the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa

The Governor of Damascus, Eng. Muhammad Tariq Krishatihas discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa, Barry Philip Gilder, ways to enhance and develop cooperation relations between the two countries in all fields, especially service, economic and investment. 

Eng. Krishati pointed to the historical relations that unite the two countries and the need to clarify the reality of the situation in Syria to the public opinion in South Africa.

He expressed the governorate’s readiness to cooperate and provide all facilities to companies in South Africa wishing to participate in reconstruction and investment. 

He valued the positions of the Republic of South Africa in support of Syria during the years of the terrorist war that it was exposed to, and its efforts to support Syria’s position in international forums. 

In turn, Gilder affirmed his country’s keenness to participate in the rebuilding and urban development stage in Damascus and to activate and improve investment cooperation

He said that he is constantly conveying the true picture of the situation in Syria to the public opinion in South Africa in light of the misleading operations practiced to distort the facts in Syria.
