The Governmental Corona Response Team: Stricter health requirements and social distancing

The government team on the procedures to tackle the Corona epidemic has conducted a comprehensive review and assessment of the reality of Corona infections during the last period.

The Team’s members also discussed the Ministry of Health’s procedures in tracking and restricting the infections and taking the necessary actions.

 

The Team thanked the local communities and councils for cooperating with the governmental authorities to implement the precautionary measures in the markets and economic activities and to detect any illegal entry case from outside Syria.

During the team’s meeting on June 27, chaired by Prime Minister Eng. Hussein Arnous, Minister of Health Dr. Nizar Yazigi made a presentation on recent infections and the Ministry’s procedures to track contacts with the aim of counting infections and preventing the spread of the virus.

The Team called on all ministries and public and private agencies to strictly apply health requirements and social distancing and reduce congestion and direct communication between service providers and auditors.

The Team stressed the necessity of continuing the monitoring of markets to ensure the compliance of the activities and shops with health safety measures and the continuation of the Ministry of Information’s awareness campaigns to spread knowledge through the media about how to avoid infection with the virus or transfer it to others.
