The Gold Prize at Al Basel Exhibition Goes to the Wounded Engineer Osama Ibrahim

Homs, (ST)- Despite suffering from quadriplegia, the wounded engineer Osama Ibrahim continued his master’s degree at Al-Baath University and was awarded the gold medal in Al-Bassel Exhibition for Creativity and Invention in its 19th session within the activities of Damascus International Fair, due to his invention of the system of continuous follow-up for patients with chronic conditions remotely via the Android application on smart phones.

Eng. Ibrahim pointed out that the exhibition reflects the will of the challenge and steadfastness among our people and embodies the sincere desire to continue the work and search for the best technologies, equipment, ideas and innovations that serve the projects of economic, industrial, agricultural and scientific development, noting the importance of the exhibition in terms of exchanging experiences and opening the horizon of investment projects and inventions.

It is worth mentioning that the exhibition included 387  inventions of 827 participants from public and private universities, the Ministry of Education and organizations of the Union of Youth Revolution and Vanguards, the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises , the Agricultural Research Authority and  the Inventors Association in addition to eight participants from the Iraqi Inventors Association
