“The global war on Syria – is the game over?”

Damascus, (ST) – “The global war on Syria, is the game over?” is a new book published by the Arab Writers Union, supervised by Michel Rimbaud and Faisal Jalloul, and translated by Muhammad Al-Dunya and Dr. Zubaida Al-Qadi.

French publishing houses printed this book after they were convinced that the global war on Syria was heading towards the failure recognized by the parties that launched it, especially on the military and political side. They were also convinced that “overthrowing” the Syrian state had become impossible for reasons, the most important of which was the steadfastness of the Syrian army and the internal support it received that was aided by the basic, loyal roles of Damascus’ allies in Moscow, Beijing, Tehran, Baghdad, Beirut and others, in addition to the continued Russian-Chinese bilateral determination to deter Western interference in Syrian affairs.

According to the book, French publishing houses reveal that the Syrian government did not surrender, and decided to defend the country with great courage. It also won the war with its Lebanese ally in the 2006 war against the Israeli occupation entity, and it won with its Iraqi resistance allies before it was intercepted by the so-called Arab Spring, which broke out with coordination and coverage and Western American leadership.

Jalloul pointed out in the book that the American powers were mired in Afghanistan and Iraq and were in dire need of getting out of the hell they had unleashed, so the so-called Arab Spring was a tremendous opportunity that enabled them to wreak havoc in the region and block the way for those who benefited from their failure, including Syria and its allies. He indicated in the book that Washington and its camp organized a global war against Syria that was expected to overthrow it, but it ended in another additional failure.

In the book, Jaloul believes that it is necessary to confront the offensive media flow against the Syrian people, who adhere to their legitimate right to defend themselves and refuse to submit to the dictates of imperialism and its allies.

According to Jaloul, the book sheds light on the alliance of the United States and “Israel” against Gaza and southern Lebanon, using the same means and instruments that were used against Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Lebanon.

Rimbaud mentioned that the book, in its French edition, includes authors from different parts of the world who saw what is going on, and that the Syrian state is the sole legitimate representative of Syria and cannot be compared to aggressors from Western powers.

Rimbaud said that Syria is the mother of civilization throughout history and the fragrance of eternity, and it cannot end with conspiracies or a false spring and the Syrian people must have realized this.

The Head of the Arab Writers Union, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hourani said: This book by researchers and intellectuals of different nationalities exposes the reality of the terrorist war that Syria has been subjected to and is still subject to. He added that the book is a cry of rejection of the American allegations that its support for the war on Syria is support for democracy.

It is noteworthy that the book is published by the Arab Writers Union and contains 269 pages of large format by the French publishing house Delga, which faced many difficulties before its publication.
