The General Union of Arab Writers condemns the Israeli aggression against Damascus

The General Union of Arab Writers condemned in strongest terms the recent Israeli aggression against a residential neighborhood in Damascus. It stressed that it is a new crime added to occupation previous crimes.

The Union said in a statement: We angrily condemn the Zionist entity committal of a new crime in addition to its previous crimes against the Syrian Arab Republic by targeting a residential building. A number of civilians were martyred in  this brutal aggression against Syrian sovereignty.

The Union added: This aggression revealed the truth about the Zionist entity after many allegations about its respect for the right of civilians to life in accordance with international legitimacy and human rights principles.

The statement signed by the Secretary General of the General Union of Arab Writers and President of the General Syndicate of the Egyptian Writers Union, Dr. Alaa Abdel Hadi confirmed that the General Secretariat of Arab Writers condemns  in the strongest terms this aggression. It calls on the masses of the Arab nation and all honorable people in the world to condemn and denounce Israeli actions towards Syria.

The Union called on international organizations and competent bodies to seek to punish war criminals in this entity in accordance with international law.

It called on working with the State of South Africa to include this crime in the file submitted by the friendly country to the International Criminal Court.
