The General Conference of Arab Parties condemns the Israeli aggression on Damascus International Airport

Beirut, Jun.13, (ST)- The General Secretariat of the General Conference of Arab Parties condemned the Israeli aggression on some points  in the vicinity of  Damascus International Airport, which caused the landing of the airfields to be out of service.

The Secretary-General of the conference, Qassem Saleh, said in a statement, “This aggression comes as an affirmation of the enemy’s barbarism and its transgression of international norms, charters, and rules of engagement, and a desperate attempt to influence Syria’s positions and disrupt its course in fighting terrorism, especially after the Syrian Arab Army and its allies made significant progress against the forces of evil and aggression.”

Saleh expressed the support of the General Conference of the Arab parties and his stand by Syria until the defeat of the aggression and the liberation of its land, stressing that Syria’s security and stability represent stability for the entire region.

In turn, the Secretary-General of the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party in Lebanon, Ali Hijazi, stressed during his meeting with Sheikh Muhammad Yazbek, the  representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei,  the importance of coordination and solidarity to protect the resistance axis from targeting and to confront the Zionist and American ambitions.

Hijazi referred to the great challenges facing Lebanon, especially the Israeli ambitions in its oil and gas.

For his part, Sheikh Yazbek underlined the importance of dialogue among all Lebanese, and his keenness to have in Lebanon a strong, just, independent state that preserves its wealth and faces the threats and ambitions of the Israeli enemy.
