The General Arab Producers Union has called on its Arab cadres and media institutions to stop broadcasting TV dramas that cause harm to the Palestine Cause

The General Arab Producers Union has called on its Arab cadres and media institutions to stop broadcasting TV dramas that cause harm to the Palestine Cause, through distorting the image of Arabs, and documenting sinister ideas on global Zionism’s broadcasting  tools. The Union said that such attempts and its likes have so far ultimately failed to normalize the existence of the Israeli occupation entity.

An announcement, issued by the Union, voiced categorical rejection of two TV series, broadcast on some Gulf TV channels, noting that the direction they both take is seriously harmful, in that they attempt to change historical facts, preparing for normalization with the Zionist entity and distorting the honorable Arab history every Arab is proud of.

The Union’s announcement pointed to the goal behindbroadcasting the two series “Exit 7” and “Umm Haroun”, namely, to brainwash Arab citizens by instilling the international Zionism’s poisonous ideas and taking public attention away from the fact that the occupation entity was basically established on the occupied Palestine land, as Israel was initiated as an entity by bloodshed acts, Kafr Qassem and Deir Yassin massacres are but a few examples.

The General Union concluded its announcement by calling on the Arab public everywhere to join the campaign, to demand“purification” of the Arab dramas from spoilers. It also called on the Saudi MBC media group to abide by the principles of the Arab nation and its national issues, particularly the Palestine Cause.

Head of the General Arab Producers Union, Ibrahim Abu Zekri, said that this announcement is just the first step, as the Union shall take further measures, including a national campaign to reunify and mobilize Arab sentiment and action to confront suspicious campaigns that target the awareness and constants of the Arab people.

Abu Zekri added that such actions and social media have impudently gone out of the ordinary, as voices of major figures,in popular influential circles, calling  for normalizing relations with the Israeli occupation entity. Abu Zekri asserted the need for concerting efforts with civil society to stop such dubious campaigns.

On the possibility of stopping the broadcast of such dramas, Abu Zekri said, “We will communicate with the information ministers and the Arab interior ministers to take decisions to stop broadcasting such dramas.”
