The French government continues to mislead the public opinion about the situation in Syria: Foreign Ministry

The French government has spread lies and misled the public opinion about the situation in Syria as part of its partnership in supporting terrorism, according to an official source at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

The source told SANA on Monday that the statement issued by the French Foreign Ministry concerning some fake videos from unknown sources was not surprising, pointing out that these videos lack the slightest degree of credibility and they are surely a repetition to many materials that have been circulated and used as misleading tools in the aggression against Syria.

“Through its complete involvement in unlimited support for terrorism during the war on Syria, the French government is responsible for shedding the Syrian blood and for the crimes that have been committed against the Syrian people and which amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity and require political and legal accountability,” the source said.

“It is ironic that the French government claims that it defends human rights while its history is full of crimes committed in many parts of the world,” the source added, pointing out that the “French state’s recognitions and apologies will not be able to erase this shame from its dark history and will not exempt it from responsibility, and therefore, it is not qualified to speak about the values of justice and international law”.

The source concluded by saying that France has accepted to be a subordinate to the US policies, plus, it lacks the minimum level of independent policies, but it must also realize that the era of mandate and guardianship on others has come to an end and that the world will not be cheated by false democracies anymore, particularly as the world is witnessing the emergence of a new world order.
