The fourth conference of Syrian researchers at home and abroad kicks off

Damascus (ST): The work of the fourth conference of Syrian researchers at home and abroad for the year 2022 began today at the Al-Assad National Library in Damascus.

The conference, entitled “Towards  Knowledge Economy: The Role of Syrian Researchers in the Homeland and the Expatriate,” is organized by the Higher Authority for Scientific Research in cooperation with the Foreign  and Expatriates Ministry, the Syrian Virtual University and the Arab School of Science and Technology.

It is noteworthy that the Supreme Commission for Scientific Research organized the first conference for Syrian researchers at home and abroad in 2019 based on the desired and recognized national responsibility of Syrian expatriate researchers in contributing to development, development and reconstruction by sharing their distinguished research experiences and establishing effective research and applied partnerships between researchers at home and abroad.

The three-day conference aims to create effective research and applied partnerships between researchers at home and abroad, and to transfer and localize advanced technology and related intellectual property policies.

The themes of the conference sessions focus on information and communication technology, smart systems, alternative energies technology, biotechnology and nanotechnology, the environment and its challenges, knowledge and its role in strengthening the national economy, in addition to the presentations of companies and the private sector.

The conference will be attended by Syrian researchers from inside the country and Syrian expatriates in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iran, India, the Russian Federation, China, Germany, Japan, the United States of America, Britain, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden and France.
