The first Spring Festival, entitled “Peace to Syria”, kicks off in Tartous

Tartous, (ST) – The activities of the first Spring Festival of the “Bayader” Cultural Forum kicked off on Sunday under the title “Peace to Syria”.

The festival includes various artistic, cultural and poetic activities, and an exhibition of handicrafts and food products.

The Secretary of the Bayader Cultural Forum, Hassan Bazaqi stated that the festival is being held with the participation of a number of great artists and about 40 children of varying ages.

The Secretary of the Arts Office at the Bayader Cultural Forum Mahmoud Helhel indicated that he shared with a number of his students several caricature works depicting the current social and economic live, in addition to various acrylic paintings embodying the beauty of nature and other topics.

The exhibition included home-made food products such as jams, pickles, pomegranate molasses, apple cider vinegar and other handicrafts such as pottery tools.

It is to be noted that the festival will last for a week and it opens every evening after breakfast.
