The first plane carrying 150 Syrians arrives at Damascus International Airport from Doha

A (Syrian Airlines) plane carrying 150 Syrians arrived on Sunday at Damascus International Airport from Doha airport as part of the  government efforts to repatriate Syrians stranded abroad.

Dr. Khuzama Zureik, head of the health center at Damascus International Airport, indicated in a statement to SANA that upon the arrival of the passengers, the medical team recorded their data and measured their temperatures to ensure that there were no apparent symptoms, pointing out that they would be transported directly by buses to the Ebla Sham Hotel in Damascus.

Upon their arrival at the hotel, a medical team affiliated to the Damascus Health Directorate will take  (PCR) swabs, the results of which will be known in about  24 to 48 hours , and if they are negative, they will be discharged to their homes and then their health status will be followed up by Health directorates.

The Ministry of the Interior had called on Syrian citizens wishing to return to Syria on the 16th of this August to communicate with the Syrian embassies in “Cairo, Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Amman, Kuwait, Khartoum, Manama, Moscow, Algeria and Baghdad” to register a request of their desire to return to Syria, so that the special government team can prepare the program of flights as part of the government’s effort to return Syrian citizens from abroad.
