The Syrian Investment Agency granted an investment license for a specialized and advanced hospital project in Damascus, in accordance with the provisions of Law 18 of 2021.
Director of the Syrian Investment Agency Madin Diab said that the license is the first of its kind in the hospital sector and there is currently no local counterpart to it after the circumstances of the terrorist war and the Corona pandemic, which was accompanied by a shortage of equipment, capabilities, and specializations.
According to Diab, the estimated cost of the project is 113 billion Syrian pounds. It includes 66 beds and is expected to provide 151 job opportunities. It provides servicves in ten specialties: cardiovascular surgery, cardiac catheterization, obstetrics, gynecology and its surgery, children and incubators, and neurological, orthopedic, general, thoracic and urinary surgery.
Diab pointed out that the establishment of the hospital contributes to providing health services in all specialties, relying on the latest medical technologies in the region and the cadres of Syrian doctors specialized in Syria and abroad, in addition to a team of nurses and administrative staff with experience and high competence.
Diab added that granting the hospital investment license came as a result of great efforts made by the Ministry of Health and the Syrian Investment Agency, to simplify and accelerate the procedures for granting the necessary approvals for the project.
