The fire that spread from the Lebanese territory towards the town of Akum in Homs countryside completely extinguished

Homs (ST): The firefighting teams in Homs Governorate, backed by members of the Syrian Arab Army, put out the fire that spread yesterday evening from the Lebanese territories towards the outskirts of Akum village in the Al-Qusayr area in the southwestern Homs countryside.

In a statement to te news reporter, Civil Defense Director Maj. Gen. Saeed Al-Awad indicated that the fire has been completely extinguished and cooling operations are currently taking place, noting that the vehicles are working to establish a dividing line of fire on the Syrian-Lebanese border. 

Al-Awad pointed out that the helicopters of the Syrian Arab Army participated in the process of extinguishing the fire, in addition to the soldiers of the Syrian Arab Army and the support of other firefighting teams, as units and vehicles were called from Damascus and its countryside to the scene of the fire.
