The final statement of Palestine Committee meeting called for bringing the perpetrators of war crimes in Gaza to international justice

Tehran, (ST) – The meeting of the Palestine Committee at the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC) called for bringing the perpetrators of war crimes and genocide against the Palestinian people to international justice. It also called on condemning the United States’ participation in the Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip.

The final statement of the emergency meeting held in Tehran stated: We demand that the Israeli perpetrators of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide be brought to international justice.

It called on the international legal and human rights institutions to move to punish the Zionist entity and oblige it to provide financial compensation to the victims, in addition to assigning Legal experts to prepare documents on the crimes, with the aim of prosecuting the occupation in international courts.

The statement called for condemning American participation in the aggression, whether through direct participation in supplying the Zionist entity with the latest products of the American war machine, or through protecting the occupation and covering its crimes in international forums.

The statement stressed that war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide committed by the Zionist entity constitute blatant violations of international laws and a deliberate violation of relevant United Nations resolutions. It called on the international community to assume its full responsibilities to condemn and stop these violations immediately.

The statement stressed that the Palestinian cause will remain the central cause of the Islamic nation, and Al-Quds (Jerusalem) is the eternal capital of the Palestinian state, and it is the Palestinian people who decide their fate by themselves and their will.

The statement rejected the forced displacement and internal displacement of the Palestinian people and the continuation of provocative and violent actions carried out by Israeli settlers. It also demanded the cessation of these operations and the return of all Palestinian refugees to their original homeland.

The statement stressed full support for the resistance of the Palestinian people, as resistance to occupation is considered a legitimate right for all peoples. It called on all governments of the world to shoulder their responsibilities and adopt a decisive stance against of the barbaric aggression launched by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people.

The final statement called for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Gaza and the entire Palestinian territories, a cessation of all military operations, the withdrawal of the Zionist entity’s army, and an end to the war of aggression.

The final statement called for coordinating efforts to deliver humanitarian aid, provide necessary financial assistance, support projects and investments and make all efforts to stop the Zionist operations and plans for settlement and annexation in the West Bank and to dismantle the settlements as they are illegal.

It also called for working to enact the necessary legislation to support the Palestinian people and confront the occupation.
