The Families of Martyrs and Wounded Journalists Honored in Tartous

The branch of the Union of Journalists in Tartous governorate, in cooperation with the Endowments “Awqaf” Directorate, honored 9 families of martyrs and wounded journalists in the governorate, in the hall of the Arab Cultural Center.

During the honoring ceremony, Head of the Union Branch, Aida Dayyoub praised the greatness of giving and the sacrifices made by the martyrs with their families in order to achieve victory over the enemies, pointing out that the victories in various fields were thanks to the blood of the martyrs and the wounded and the sacrifices of the valiant Syrian Arab Army.

 

In turn, the Director of Tartous Endowments, Abdullah Al-Sayed, stated in his speech that the terrorist war on Syria from its inception was a war of image, word, deception, and a war on minds that spread ideas through sedition screens.

Head of the Information and Culture Office in the Tartous branch of the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party, Samir Kheder, pointed out the greatness of what the martyrs of the homeland wrote with their pure blood, stressing that they will remain immortal in the memory of future generations.

The journalist at the Radio and Television Center in Tartous Alaa Suleiman, brother of the martyr Sadir, stressed that the souls of the martyrs will remain a shining light in the sky of the country and a motivation to confront terrorism in its various forms until victory is achieved.

In turn, the wounded journalist Azzam Ahmed, from the office of Al-Thawra newspaper, pointed out that the words of truth were parallel to the battlefields, and every word, sacrifice, and position became smaller before the homeland and its survival.

The honoring ceremony was attended by the governor of Tartous, lawyer Safwan Abu Saadi, the Secretary of the Tartous branch of the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party, Muhammad Habib Hussein, and a number of journalists in the province.
