The European Union condemns the attacks by remnants of the regime in the coastal areas and attempts to undermine stability in Syria

The European Union condemned the attacks carried out by remnants of the fallen regime, which targeted security forces in coastal regions, as well as all acts of violence against civilians and attempts to undermine stability in Syria.

In a statement, the European Union said: “We strongly condemn the recent attacks reportedly carried out by remnants of the fallen regime against the interim government’s forces in the coastal areas of Syria and all acts of violence against civilians.”

The Union emphasized that “civilians must be protected under all circumstances with full respect for international humanitarian law.”

The European Union called on all external actors to fully respect Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity and condemned any attempts to undermine stability and the prospects for a comprehensive, peaceful, and respectful transition for all Syrians, regardless of their differences.
