Brussels, The European Solidarity Front for Syria participated in a rally organized by the pro-Syrian groups of Brussels. The participants of the rally condemned the support to the terrorist groups provided by the regimes of Qatar, Saudi-Arabia, Turkey and their allies.
To start the reconciliation process in Syria, the first step to take is the complete defeat of terrorist groups like Daesh, Jabhat Al-Nusra, Ahrar Al-Sham, according to Kris Janssen, Chairman of the Syrian Friendship Association.
In a statement received by the Syria Times, Mr. Janssen underscored that the ESFS is standing with the Syrian people and Syrian army since 2011 and will continue to do so until victory is achieved and peace returns to Syrian lands. This message was underlined during the visit of our delegation to the Syrian embassy after the rally.
In the meantime, a rally and march in solidarity with the Syrian people and the Syrian army on the fifth anniversary of the crisis in Syria, the cradle of civilizations and peace, according to Janssen.
The European Solidarity Front for Syria, the Committee of Syrians in The Netherlands and the Euro-Rus organisation held a rally for Syria in The Hague on Saturday 12/03/2016, with the presence and participation of the Syrian Community in the Netherlands.
Hundreds of Syrians expatriates and European friends of Syria gathered to show their support for the Syrian people in its heroic fight against terrorism and their defiance towards terrorist groups, which hide behind the term ‘opposition’ and a so-called “revolution”.
Several speakers also denounced the siege which is imposed on the Syrian people, and called for the immediate lifting of these sanctions. They emphasized that European people disagree with their governments stance against Syria.
The spokesman of ESFS Ruben Rosiers declared “European people stand with the Syrian people in their heroic struggle against the takfiri terrorist groups such as Daesh, Al Nusra Front and the rest of the terrorist armed groups that killed the Syrian people during the past five years.”
The representative of the Committee of Syrians talked about the very important role being fulfilled by Syrian expatriates by standing by their motherland, asserting their loyalty and fidelity through patriotic work.
The march concluded with the Syrian Arab anthem and prayers for the souls of martyrs. The defenders of the homeland are the reason that we rallied here today so we couldn’t give more symbolical value to the moment than by finishing with their anthem. On the field, they have the last word.
