The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor condemns the Israeli occupation forces’ raid on Al-Shifa complex in Gaza

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ raid on Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza and turning it into a detention and torture center, calling on them to leave immediately.

“We strongly condemn the Israeli army’s storming, with large reinforcements, into  Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza and its turning it  into a military barracks and detention center, and the abuse of patients, displaced persons, and medical staff” The Observatory said in a statement on Wednesday.

The statement warned  of the occurrence of killings and executions in light of the sound of gunfire inside the complex since its storming.

The  Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor  indicated that the occupation forces are the only party controlling the scene inside the complex, with the voice of Palestinian Ministry of Health officials being blocked from the media, and not allowing any third international parties, including international organizations, to be present, which raises prior doubts about any narrative that the occupation will issue later.

The monitor explained that the  time spent by the occupation forces inside the complex raises fears of preparing a stage for an artificial scene, especially since they have, over the past days, exaggerated the goal of storming the complex to consider it as a military achievement, calling on them to leave the complex immediately  and not harm the complex relief and health staff.
