The Euro-Med Monitor: the occupation destroyed about 70 percent of the infrastructure in the Gaza Strip

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor confirmed that during its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip, Israel’s occupation destroyed about 70% of infrastructure facilities.

It stated today that more than 90,000 Palestinians have become martyrs, missing, wounded or permanently disabled, pointing out that its preliminary statistics indicate the death of more than 30,000 Palestinians until yesterday evening, including 12,040 children and 6,103 women, while 58,960 were injured, including hundreds in serious condition.

According to the Observatory some two million Palestinians were displaced from their homes and residential areas in the Gaza Strip without the availability of safe shelter for them, at a time when the ongoing Israeli bombardment completely destroyed 67,946 housing units and 179,750 housing units partially.

The Observatory pointed out that the occupation entity deliberately destroyed and caused serious damage to infrastructure facilities in the Gaza Strip, bombing 318 schools, 1612 industrial facilities and 169 health facilities, including 23 hospitals, 57 clinics, 89 ambulances, 201 mosques and 3 churches, in addition to 169 press and media headquarters.

The Euro-Med Monitor renewed its call on the international community to investigate the violations documented since Israel began its aggression on the Gaza Strip and to work to end the state of impunity enjoyed by the occupying entity, including those responsible for grave violations and their perpetrators, and to bring them to justice and hold them accountable.
