The Emirates Red Crescent announces a series of initiatives aimed at continuing the provision of aid in Lattakia

Latakia (ST): The delegation of the Emirates Red Crescent in Lattakia Governorate announced the start of a series of new initiatives aimed at continuing to provide aid to support various sectors in Lattakia Governorate.

The announcement came during a press conference held in the governorate building in Lattakia for the head of the delegation, Dr. Muhammad Al-Kaabi, who stressed that foreign humanitarian aid is an essential and moral obligation of the United Arab Emirates, pointing out that the mission of the Gallant Knight 2 in Syria is evidence of the rapid response of the UAE and standing by the Syrian brothers.

Among these initiatives, according to Al-Kaabi, is the “My School is My Identity” initiative, which aims to support the educational sector by restoring and maintaining 40 schools in the governorate, and the Education Knights initiative, which aims to provide laptops and desktop computers to support digital transformation, and provide training supplies for the faculties of engineering, medicine and pharmacy, in addition to the Eid clothing initiative, which targets 44,000 beneficiaries, and the sacrifice initiative, where 2,000 sacrifices will be distributed to 100,000 beneficiaries in each of the governorates of Lattakia, Aleppo, Homs, and Hama.

Al-Kaabi pointed out that the assistance provided by his country will continue until Syria recovers and returns to a better state than it was before.

For his part, the head of the Lattakia Governorate Council, Eng. Tayseer Habib, pointed out in his speech that the mission of the gallant knight 2 in Syria, which the United Arab Emirates is carrying out to mitigate the effects of the earthquake, reflects the ethics and values of the authentic Emirati culture.
