The Egyptian Democratic Unionist Party calls for lifting the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria
The Egyptian Democratic Unionist Party called for a serious Arab and international stand to lift the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by the United States and Western countries against Syria.
Party leader Hassan Turk said in a statement to SANA’s correspondent in Cairo … that “Washington is still practicing its arrogance amid international silence … and this silence pushes it to exercise more hegemony,” stressing that there must be a serious stand toward those practices and policies pursued by the American administration and Western countriesagainst the world and Syria in particular.
Turk pointed out that Syria has been exposed during the past years to American and Zionist conspiracies aimed at imposing control over its sovereign decision, as Washington worked to create and support terrorist organizations to carry out their criminal operations on Syrian lands, stressing that the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army against these terrorist gangs constituted a major blow against the American Zionist conspiracy scheme, which pushed Washington and its allies to use economic measures against the Syrian state in violation of international legitimacy.
Turk emphasized that the Syrian people were able to reveal the true face of American policy. Explaining that all coercive economic measures will not affect the will and determination of this steadfast people and Syria is able to complete victories despite the sanctions.
