The Diplomatic Club in Syria sends humanitarian aid to earthquake-affected areas in Lattakia and Aleppo

The Diplomatic Club in Syria has sent humanitarian aid to the cities of Lattakia and Aleppo targeting those affected by the earthquake that hit the country last Monday.

The aid contained food parcels, winter clothes, canned food, foodstuffs, medicines, blankets and milk as well as children clothes.

The Diplomatic club in Syria sent the aid to contribute to efforts aiming at mitigating the effects of the devastating earthquake, and to express its solidarity with Syria to overcome this crisis.

Radyanti Fauzi, President of Diplomatic Club of Syria (DCoS) and the wife of Ambassador of Indonesia in Damascus, told the Syria Times: “On behalf of the Diplomatic Club of Syria (DCoS), I would like to present our sincere and deepest condolences to all the Syrians, specially to families of the victims of the devastating earthquake that hit the cities of Lattakia, Aleppo, Hama, Idlib and Tartous”.

“DCoS is a club in which the members are spouses of ambassadors, heads of mission, diplomats and members of international organizations accredited in Syria,” she said.

“Since the beginning of the earthquake that struck Syria, we have opened a collection centre in Damascus, where members of the club or their friends or even the public can send their donations through us and we will deliver them to the people in the affected areas” She added.

“Today, I arrived in Aleppo to deliver some donations that were collected and delivered through the DCoS from some of its members and embassies in Damascus and from other Syrian friends” Radyanti Fauzi went on to say.

“We are standing together with the victims and their families in this difficult time.

“May God bless and protect the Syrians and speedy recovery to the injured,” she concluded.
