The delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic arrives in Nur-Sultan

On December 20th, the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic, headed by the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Ayman Sousan, arrived in the Kazakh capital, Nur Sultan, to participate in the work of the 17th international meeting of the Astana formula on Syria. 

The work of the meeting will take place on December 21 and 22 and will include bilateral and tripartite meetings between the participating delegations representing the guarantor countries Russia, Iran and Turkey, in addition to the member countries and the United Nations delegation. 

 

The meetings will be followed by the issuance of a final statement of the meeting. 

The 16 meetings have been held in Astana, two of them in Sochi, Russia, and they all emphasized in their final statements the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria.
