The death of a Palestinian prisoner in Israeli detention

On November 18th, a Palestinian prisoner was martyred in one of the Israeli occupation prisons as a result of the policy of systematic killing.

Wafa news agency quoted the Prisoner Club as saying in a statement that the young man, Sami Al-Omour, 39 years old, from the town of Deir Al-Balah in the besieged Gaza Strip, was martyred in Israeli detention as a result of deliberate medical negligence.

The martyr Al-Omour has been in the Israeli occupation prisons since 2008, during which he was subjected to various types of physical and psychological torture and deliberate medical neglect, despite  suffering from an incurable heart disease.

With the death of the martyr Al-Omour, the number of martyrs captured in the occupation prisons has risen to 227 martyrs since 1967, including 72 prisoners who died as a result of the crime of deliberate medical negligence by the occupation authorities.
