On July 12, the Syrian Olympic Committee revealed the dates for the participation of our players in the Olympic Games scheduled to be held in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, on the twenty-third of this month. In a statement to SANA, the Secretary-General of the Syrian Olympic Committee, Nasser Al-Sayed, explained that the Syrian delegation that will participate in the Tokyo Olympics consists of 16 members, including 6 athletes, namely the player Hind Zaza, who will participate in table tennis on the 24th of this month, and swimmer Ayman Kalzieh in the 200m butterfly race. At the age of 26, and triathlon player Mohamed Massou, who begins his competition on the same day. Al-Sayed added that the Syrian national athletics player, MajdGhazal, will participate in the high jump competition on the 30th of this month, and the jockey Ahmed Hamsho in the show jumping competition on the third of next month, before the weightlifter Maan Asaad concludes the Syrian participation in weightlifting with a weight of over 109 kg.
Al-Sayed stressed that the participation of Syrian athletes in the most important multi-game forum in the world is an event of great importance because it bears a unique character that thousands of athletes await every four years, and that Syrian athletes always show a high spirit in such tournaments. The Syrian delegation includes Omar Al-Aroub as head, Muhammad Al-Hayek as the general administrator, Dr. Safouh Al-Sibai as a doctor, Safwan Al-Hindi in the media, MajdGhazal as a high jump player, Imad Sarraj as an athletics coach, Maan Asaad, a weightlifter, Hassanein Al-Sheikh, an administrator in weightlifting, Qais Asaad, a weightlifting coach, Ahmed Hamsho, an equestrian player, and Billy Tommy. Equestrian coach, Hind Zaza, table tennis player, Yamen Dandel, table tennis coach, Ayman Kalzieh, swimming player, Mohamed Mardanli, swimming coach, and Mohamed Masso, triathlon player. Dr. Marwan Dwaier, Vice President of the Syrian Olympic Committee, and Nasser Al-Sayed will participate in the meetings held by the International Olympic Committee and its institutions during the establishment of the Olympic Games to discuss the next action plan and strategy for the development of global sports.
