The continuation of imposing unilateral Western sanctions on Syria is inhumane act, Slovak parliamentarian says
Dr. Lubos Blaha, deputy in the Slovak Parliament, deputy head of the Social Democratic Smyr Party affirmed that the continuation of imposing unilateral Western sanctions on Syria in the circumstances of the devastating earthquake that struck it is an inhumane act that harms innocent people.
Blaha said on Wednesday: “The harming of Syria through the continuation of applying these sanctions despite its exposure to the earthquake confirms the extent of the West’s disregard for human rights and international laws.”
He praised the initiative of the Slovak citizens who joined the campaign to provide humanitarian aid to Syria. Dr. Lubos stressed that this initiative represents the greatest evidence that the majority of European citizens oppose sanctions, refuse to target this country and want peace and humanity.
