The complex of supporting the option of resistance: Syria’s steadfastness foiled the hegemonic plans

Arab and Egyptian politicians and media experts unanimously agreed that Syria’s steadfastness in the face of the conspiracy against it proved the right to adhere to the approach of resistance and confront the forces of global hegemony.

The symposium was held on September 28 in Cairo by the Arab-Islamic Egyptian Complex for supporting the option of resistance in solidarity with Syria under the title “New Balances in the Region: Cracking the American Domination project and the Rise of the Resistance Project”. 

The General Coordinator of the Complex, Dr. Jamal Zahran, said that the steadfastness of Syrian people played a pivotal role in triumph over terrorism and radicalism. He also condemned western colonialism attempts to impose its divisive agenda over the region and the elimination of Arab nationalism.

For his part, Egyptian journalist Amre Nassif said: “Syria’s resistance has withstood in the face of the aggression and conspiracy and won”, calling for adhering to the approach of resistance. The Egyptian journalist Osama Al-Dalil stressed the necessity to support the Syrian state in its war on terrorism.

A member of the General Secretariat of the Arab and Islamic Complex Jamal Abu Aliu said that “national armies serve as a national fence that combine the people of the homeland against enemies”.

Political Sociology Professor Dr. Mohamed Sayed Ahmed pointed out that Syria, through its steadfastness in the face of the aggression targeting the region, is a symbol of resistance. He stressed that the resistance is the only and right way for our nation in light of the plots facing it.

For his part, the Lebanese journalist Nasser Qandil expressed confidence in the Syrian Army’s victory over terrorism, pointing out that Syria’s steadfastness in confronting the conspiracy against it has foiled the hegemonic plans that targeted it and the region.

Dr. Bassam Darwish, Charge d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Egypt, confirmed that Syria has always stood in the face of conspiratorial schemes in the region and that the Syrian Arab Army confronted the conspiracy against his country on behalf of the whole Arab nation.

The audience listened to a recorded audio message from the Dean of the Syrian prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons, Sedki al-Maqat, calling for restoring Arab solidarity and adhering to the option of resistance.
